The Equity Index: Corporate Philanthropy through an Equity Lens
The findings in the forthcoming 2019 State of Black Kansas City: Urban Education, Still Separate and Unequal report show the current equality gaps between blacks and whites and Latinos and whites in Kansas City in education, health, social justice, economics and civic engagement. As an employer, understanding these disparities and focusing charitable efforts on improving conditions for black and brown communities can create a more diverse and equitable workplace.
Join us at our upcoming Corporate Giving Network, where Urban League of Greater Kansas City’s President and CEO Gwendolyn Grant will share key information from the assessment. We will also hear from Community Foundation Vice President of Grantmaking and Inclusion Initiatives Denise St. Omer on national best practices in equitable grantmaking.
