Greater Kansas City Community Foundation Named 2026 Best Place to Work
The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation is proud to be named one of Kansas City’s 2026 Best Places to Work by the Kansas City Business Journal, earning third place in the small-company category. Honorees were selected based on confidential employee feedback collected through a third-party survey.
If you ask our team what makes the Community Foundation a great place to work, most will point to the work itself: helping donors support the causes they care about most. Employees describe our culture as collaborative, flexible, supportive, caring and inclusive.

Our donors come to us for world-class service and philanthropic expertise, and that starts with a team that is welcoming, skillful and agile. We support our employees with opportunities to learn, grow and lead, along with workplace flexibility and a strong benefits package that includes paid time off for personal use, holidays and volunteering in the community.
We also want our employees to experience the generosity that is at the heart of our work. Each year, employees receive $1,000 in their own donor-advised fund they can use to support charitable causes that are meaningful to them. Through their own giving, our employees get to experience firsthand what it’s like to be a donor at the Community Foundation.
Most of all, I’m proud of our team. This recognition belongs to them and reflects the culture they create, the care they bring to serving our donors and their commitment to strengthening philanthropy across our community.
We’re proud to celebrate this recognition alongside all of this year’s Best Places to Work honorees.
